Start of qualification process of IC αRD124A

RDALFA - ESA

RD ALFA Microelectronics team is glad to announce that a new contract with ESA in the frame of PECS projects was signed as a sign of established longtime collaboration between two organizations.

A new contract No. 4000128048/19/NL/SC was signed by both parties based on the QUALIFICATION OF IC αRD124A FOR APPLICATION IN ESA MISSIONS.

IC αRD124A was a subject of 1st PECS project, based on R&D on Identified Integrated Circuit and chosen IC for development during 2nd Phase PECS project. The proposed length of the project is 24 months (September 2019 - August 2021).

IC αRD124A is a widely used Silicon Monolithic, Low Power, Quad, Bipolar Operational Amplifier (link to datasheet), tested for radiation resistance by the method of Total Ionization Dose (TID), Low Dose Rate (LDR). TID LDR test of αRD124A for 450Krad showed positive results on all parameters, performance better than equivalents.

As an outcome of the project RD ALFA Microelectronics technical and management team foresees fully qualified product accepted and positively evaluated by ESA technical experts, for further use in European space industry missions.
